MuzzyLoggeR remains ready-to-use in sleep mode. There is neither button nor special cable connection necessary to turn it on. The logger awakes automatically just at the moment of any data transfer activity. The logger remains operative up to 10 seconds after last NMEA sentence received or up to 1 minute after last PC-command received.

To operate with any GPS receiver connect MuzzyLoggeR to the receiver using regular data-transfer cable (or appropriate cable made for MuzzyLoggeR Type T/KK).
  1. Turn on GPS receiver and select NMEA protocol (NMEA 183 2.0) 4800 baud rate.
  2. Turn off GPS receiver, connect MuzzyLoggeR to the receiver.
  3. Turn on GPS receiver for normal work.
  4. After recognition of first correct NMEA sentences MuzzyLoggeR performs memory check and battery check. The remaining memory size and current battery state is indicated with pulsing green and yellow LED diodes. To simplify - the more pulses the better mood.
  5. The green LED double-blinks with 2 second interval if GPS receiver doesn't fix its position.
  6. The green LED blinks once with 2 second interval if GPS receiver fixes its position.
  7. If you turn off the receiver MuzzyLoggeR automatically goes to sleep mode and stops logging, if you turn the receiver back on MuzzyLoggeR starts logging again.
  8. MuzzyLoggeR stores only fixed positions. As long as GPS receiver marks position fixed it is stored into logger's memory.

Connect MuzzyLoggeR with PC using standard NULL-modem cable (or appropriate cable made for MuzzyLoggeR Type T/KK).

MuzzyLoggeR can work with most popular GPS PC-software. The functionality and usage depends on particular software. Select one of following examples:
