MuzzyLoggeR
is an easy-to-use extension to GPS receivers. It works with almost all GPS receivers supporting NMEA
interface. The goal of
MuzzyLoggeR
is to store a large amount, high resolution track points, expanding GPS receivers' memory capability.
MuzzyLoggeR saves each track in 3D-track form, which means that saved information contains geographical location (latitude and longitue) as well as altitude. It is quite important feature for owners of older models of GPS devices regarding, for example, Garmin GPS 12. This GPS model can store only 2D tracks within its own internal memory (losing the altitude data). However, if Garmin GPS 12 is connected to MuzzyLoggeR the logger will store tracks where each trackpoint will include the timestamp, geografical location and altitude - information which makes data an active 3D-track. There are models of nowadays GPS devices which save only one active track - the other tracks do not contain the timestamp for each trackpoint. Such a track cannot be used neither as a flight document nor as a source of speed analyzis. Every tracks stored within MuzzyLoggeR are active 3D-tracks - they can be used as a source of different analyzis as well as a flight documents for competitions.

MuzzyLoggeR comes in two different versions: tourist's (Type T) and competitor's (Type Z). They differ simply in enclosed casing. Type T is a pocket-size, plastic box - very small, light-weighted, easy-to-use, accurate to attach directly to GPS receiver. Type Z is a larger one enclosed in die-cast, sealed box especially suited for yachting activity.
